This series is designed for the non-Arab speaking, senior level student. With a collection of audiotapes and MP3 CD it helps the student learn Arabic through listening and conversation along with reading and writing. The series stresses communication and also offers glimpses into the Arabic culture, both Islamic and national. Divided into 3 grades, it contains textbooks and workbooks combined in one book. The entire series can be taught intensively in 300 classes (averaging 45 minutes one class,) 100 classes for each grade. If the program is not intensive, it can be taught within a three-year period.
All courses are carefully structured and designed to cover a wide range of topic areas, grammatical structures and skills. An A4A course includes the following elements:
Developing and improving your spoken language
Building your communicative confidence so you can talk with native speakers
Developing your listening and comprehension skills to improve your understanding
Learning and reviewing the grammatical structures of Arabic
Focusing on language that you use in real life situations, both written and spoken
Building a base of core vocabulary
Working on your pronunciation so that people can understand you and sound as much as possible like a native speaker of Arabic
Reading Arabic words, sentences and texts
Writing words, sentences, paragraphs and texts
