This is a hook abuul modelling; and although it includes a good deal of information ahour a variety of oilier relevant topics, it remains essentially a practical manual of techniques and modelling methods. My intention is not to attempt to cover every aspect of this large subject exhaustively, but rather to provide a basis on which the individual modeller can build through his own modelling experience and research.
Many of the topics touched upon in these pages - such as the evolution ot armour, heraldry, ancient shield designs or medieval helmer crests - are subjects which would repay
