This book on Analog Eelctronics begins with a brief description of Semiconductor Physics, emphasizes on the essential principles for the Electronics Industry. This is followed by a number of chapters on the theory and applications of common devices, viz, Diodes, Transistors, and OPAMPS. The author's experience in teaching this subject over the course of time, in two Premier Engineering Colleges has been that the UG student gets somewhat intimidated with the heavy dose of Physics and Math in most of the existing material in print as well as online. Hence the author made it a practice to e-mail elaborate notes of the lecture classes to his students. This work is essentially an extension of that painstaking effort over the years.
The book is presented in easy-to-follow steps. Important expressions and equations have been elaborately derived. Each section contains a number of worked-out numerical. A number of Practice Problems along with the answers have been included.
Analog Electronics (Theory and Practice) is primarily meant for the UG students of Indian Technical Universities and Engineering Colleges. It will also serve as a Refresher for the working professional and competitive exam aspirants.
This book presents detailed quantitative and qualitative descriptions of various modern electronic devices. The text is supported by a number of detailed sketches and circuit diagrams.
Derivation steps of all the important relationships and formulae have been presented and the understanding of each one of them have been augmented with a number of worked out numericals. The contents of the book conforms to the latest AICTE Curriculum which is followed by all the leading technical universities of India.
