Ever since the Society initiated our annual nationwide amateur photography contest, with the aim of obtaining photographs giving a representative picture of Japan to the other countries of the world, we have selected the best entries submitted by amateur photographers from all walks of life throughout the nation. In this, the 4th Contest, we received a total of 12,177 entries, breaking all previous records. From these we have chosen 312 photographs.
