This book covers different concepts related to some of the more popular labelings found in the literature, as well as the relations existing among them and some of the techniques used in the area. The main scope is to introduce the reader to the world of graph labeling from the point of view of the relations existing among labelings and the techniques used to understand them. Sometimes the relations established are techniques in their own right, and the same techniques apply to different labelings. These facts make it very difficult to divide the book into independent chapters and it is possible to find labelings of, let’s say, type A in a chapter devoted to labelings of type B. But we believe that this is precisely one of the strongest points of this book, and it shows the strong connections among different labelings, which unfortunately have not been considered sufficiently by researchers in the past.
