Salas V., Fastiggi R. (eds.) A Companion to Francisco Suárez
Leiden; Boston: Brill, 2014. — 384 p. — (Brill’s companions to the Christian tradition 53). — ISSN 1871-6377. — ISBN 978-90-04-28158-5.
"A Companion to Francisco Suarez" examines the thought of scholasticism's "Doctor eximius" in its entirety: both philosophically and theologically. Many of the most distinctive features of Suarez s thought are identified and evaluated in light of his immediate historical context. What emerges from the studies contained in this volume is the picture of a thinker who is profoundly steeped in the riches of divergent schools of thought and yet who manages to find his own unique voice to add to the chorus of scholasticism
Victor M. Salas, Ph.D. (2008), Saint Louis University, is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Sacred Heart Major Seminary.
